FAQs
Question: How much do you charge?
Answer: The attorney fee in Social Security disability and SSI disability cases is 25% of past-due benefits, up to a maximum fee of $6,000.00. Social Security must approve the fee before it is paid from retroactive benefits. There is no attorney fee if you are not awarded retroactive benefits.
Question: Will you be honest with me and tell me if I have a case?
Answer: Yes. I only get paid when you are awarded retroactive benefits. Therefore, I can't take a case that has no chance of being successful. But that doesn't mean I won't take a difficult case. So, I'll tell you my opinion of your case.
Question: Why shouldn't I represent myself?
Answer: Unless you went to law school and passed the Bar Exam, you probably don't think about your case the way I think about it. You need me to focus on what is legally necessary to get your benefits.
